On the second day of the third NEPL event of 2010, New England Synergy won the round robin finals over the Hurricanes by just three points to be the only other team to win a NEPL event this season. At first it had seemed that the Hurricanes had emerged victorious, but this was due to a mathematical error that stemmed from a score sheet from the Hurricanes vs. Identity game, which resulted in a stalemate in favor of Identity (3 bodies alive to the Hurra's 2). This goes to show how much stalemates and live bodies can swing points around in a round robin finals structure.
In the five-man division it came down to a best of three finals match with New England Blizzard vs. The Institution. The Institution prevailed in 2 matches. They were followed by Revelation and Libertie
The weather was beautiful and as always it was a well run event with a great refereeing staff made up of Shipyard and Bloodline players, as well as some veteran NEPL refs.
